The content of this blog is not an attempt to put down or offend those from the GLTG (Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgender) community or those who support them. In fact, I have several dear friends and a family member who fits into that category whom I love. My goal here is to share my ideas, as well as the ideas of others, studies, quotes, hopefully guest bloggers, and other material to express why marriage the way God intended it is so crucial, especially in today's world.
This blog is not endorsed by or affiliated with any religion, group, or any one person in particular (except me, of course!), and views there in may reflect some of the ideas and doctrines of certain groups but is non-denominational and non-partisan.
I am Christian and know that in the beginning, God created the world. He created all of the marvelous things that are in and on and around the earth: the light and darkness, the water, vegetation, animals, but he wasn't done yet. He saved his most marvelous creation for last - man and woman. But they weren't meant to be alone - they were meant to be together.
In the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, Genesis 1 reads:
"18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him...
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."
And that's just the way it is. It was then. It is now. No excuses, no exceptions. The only kind of true marriage was set up from the foundation of the world by God himself, the ultimate Authority, and remains that way - man and woman as one.
If you have comments or would like to contact me, I'd love to hear from you! I can't wait to post more...so do you say "I do" to traditional marriage too?
